"Blackbox" is an ongoing project/performance/installation that I have been developing since 2004.
The heart of it all is an old keyboard (salvaged from an electronic organ), that has each key hooked up to it's own electrical outlet. This essentially turns the keyboard into a switchboard for many different types of electronic devices.
I find lamps, optical theremins, and radios most effective (although theoretically you could "play" up to 40 vaccums or toasters through the Blackbox).
Pictured below is the first prototype. Quite crude in it's construction and looks. I'm currently working on version 2.0.
